Human creative director beats artificial intelligence in public vote for best Clorets ad

A human creative director has won a creative competition against an artificial intelligence version as part of a digital campaign for Clorets by McCann Japan. Clorets ad featuring a flying suit-wearing dog, created by artificial intelligence The AI creative director lost by a narrow margin in a nationwide poll on which 30-second commercial was best, claiming 46% of the public vote. The brief was to dramatised how just a single Cloret can refresh your mouth immediately, and last for 10 minutes. The creative treatment by the human CD, Mitsuru Kuramoto, a TV writer and director, features a woman who after eating a mint is able to paint quickly and purposefully.
