Staff reportPublished: October 30, 2015 Font size: [A] [A] [A] University of Scranton neuroscience major Bernard Somers uses candy to illustrate the parts of the neuron to the edible delight of Girl Scouts at the 2012 Northeast Pennsylvania Kids Judge Neuroscience Fair. Area children in grades four to seven can learn about neuroscience through hands-on experiments designed by University of Scranton students Saturday, Nov. 7, in the university’s Loyola Science Center. At the northeast Pennsylvania Kids Judge Neuroscience Fair, now in its 14th year, neuroscience majors teach the young students about the brain through games and experiments. The university students design the lessons and labs specifically to teach and engage younger students in neuroscience concepts.
