Ledger Projects sponsor top artificial intelligence student
Ledger Projects, a local company specialising in Fintech, was the first organisation to take part in a scheme launched by the Artificial Intelligence Department within the Faculty of ICT at the University of Malta, aimed at sponsoring the top performing students of the BSc AI degree. The student, James Farrugia, will now enbark on a fully paid MSc AI in Fintech (2017-2018) held at the University of Malta, Tal-Qroqq. Mr Farrugia was not only one of the top performing students of his year but also received the Dean’s Award. An agreement to regulate this scholarship was signed by David Schranz, CEO Ledger Projects (second from right), University of Malta Rector, Prof. Alfred Vella (centre), and scholarship awardee Mr Farrugia (second from left), in the presence of Prof. Alexiei Dingli, head of the AI Department (left) and Anthony Mamo, director Ledger Projects (right).
