Mirada collaborates on machine learning and big data driven radiotherapy planning
OXFORD, UK, 26 May 2016 – Mirada Medical Ltd, UK, MAASTRO clinic, the Netherlands and SOHARD Software GmbH, Germany, have won a European Eurostars grant to develop the next generation of automatic contouring and semantic database driven treatment planning support software. The collaboration will see Mirada Medical combine its expertise on medical image analysis and registration with the clinical knowledge from MAASTRO clinic. SOHARD will provide access to and further develop its semantic database technology, SeDI, that will be used to index large datasets of previously delivered radiation therapy plans.As part of the collaboration MAASTRO clinic will provide access to up to 2.5M images, plans and contour sets from previous radiation therapy plans.
