Neuroscientists Study How Brains Would React To Teleportation – Details

While teleportation is far from being a reality, studying how the brain would respond to it is something equally interesting. Neuroscientists from the University of California, Davis conducted an experiment and it yielded results that challenge existing understandings. Teleportation devices may remain a sci-fi dream rather than a reality, but that hasn’t stopped scientists investigating the effect such technologies could have on the brain. A new study sheds light on how the brain would handle ‘beaming up’ or travelling across space and distance instantly from one place to another – at least on a computer screen. Neuroscientists found the brain gives off a different ‘rhythm’ when volunteers entered a virtual teleporter, similar to the one found on the Starship Enterprise in Star Trek.
