Next round of Community Data Science Workshops to occur this fall
By popular demand, Assistant Professor Mako Hill is helping organize another round of Community Data Science Workshops. The workshop series consists of one Friday evening and three Saturday sessions in October and November. These workshops are for anyone interested in learning how to use programming and data science tools to ask and answer questions about online communities like Wikipedia, free and open source software, Twitter, civic media, etc. The Fall 2015 series will be an updated version of the workshops offered twice in 2014 and earlier this spring. The workshops are for people with no previous programming experience and, thanks to sponsorship from eScience and the UW Department of Communication, are free of charge and open to anyone.
