Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cellular Neuroscience

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr. Christopher P Ford at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine to study synaptic circuit function in the striatum and the ventral midbrain. We are looking for post-doctoral fellows interested in training for an academic career in cellular neuroscience.  Our lab examines the cellular and synaptic mechanisms regulating VTA dopamine neurons and neurons in the nucleus accumbens and striatum. We are interested in understanding how synaptic inputs control the excitability of mesolimbic neurons in the VTA and the mechanisms by which dopamine signals are encoded within striatal circuits (Marcott et al., 2014 Neuron; Courtney et al., 2014 J.Neurosci; McCall 2015 Neuron).
