Research Scientist in Mechanistic Cell Biology and Neuroscience
The Reck-Peterson lab at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the lab as a research scientist. Our lab studies the molecular basis of microtubule-based transport and its links to neurodegenerative disease. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience in the biological or biomedical sciences, as well as outstanding organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. The ideal candidate would also have experience in biochemistry and proteomics, generating gene-edited human cell lines, handling and differentiating human ES and iPS cells, and live-cell imaging.
