UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Count leading a cheer of “We Are!” among the tasks that Nao (pronounced Now) the robot can do, thanks to behind-the-scenes work of Penn State Information Sciences and Technology students. Nao —technically what’s known as a humanoid social robot — and the humans who work with him showed off those skills at a tailgate event Nov. 21 with President Eric Barron.
