Data science is becoming very popular in several industries, particularly automobile, where companies focus on software as a key element of their car platforms. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) uses data science extensively via its entire feedback cycle from service to engineering, according to Electrek. The publication reported that Tesla Head of Data Science, Gregory Ryslik, jumped ship for its emerging, local rival Faraday Future earlier this week. He now works as the Head of Data Science & Analytics at his new company. Mr. Ryslik, who attained his Masters in Statistics from Columbia University and PhD in Biostatistics from Yale University, had been working at Tesla since May 2015.
