What’s your favourite Hitman? A reader explains why he thinks Hitman: Contracts is the best of the series, and why Hitman isn’t a stealth game. Although morally wrong, acts of trespass and deception can be exciting. These questionable activities are the core aspects of the Hitman series. It often frustrates me to hear Mr 47’s adventures described as stealth games or murder simulators. The Hitman games are about infiltration, usually by means of disguise. Conventional stealth games like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell require the player to enter a secure location unnoticed. Hitman asks that you play the part of an impostor. You are noticed but (if you play the game with the restraint of a professional assassin) your true intentions remain hidden until you are ready to end…
